My copycat of TGI Fridays' Jack Daniels sauce.

Equipment

  • Heavy bottomed saucepan
  • Grater

Ingredients

  • cup water
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • ¼ cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • ¾ cup dark brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons grated white onion
  • 4 tablespoons Jack Daniels Whiskey
  • 1 tablespoon crushed pineapple
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a large heavy pot.
  • Bring to a rolling boil then reduce heat to medium-low.
  • Cook until the sauce is thick and reduced to half the original volume.
  • If the sauce is too thick at serving time, add a little pineapple juice to thin it down.
