For the cake batter:
¾cupsugar
½cupbutter
2eggs
1 ½cupsflour
1teaspoonbaking powder
½teaspoonsalt
¾cupmilk
½teaspoonvanilla
For topping #1
2-3applespeeled and sliced
For topping #2:
½cupbutter
1cupflour
1cupsugar
For topping #3:
1 ½tablespoonssugar
1 ½tablespoonscinnamon
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350.
Make the cake batter by creaming the butter and sugar using an electric mixer. Add the eggs and mix well. In a small bowl combine the dry ingredients( flour, baking powder, and salt). Add in the dry ingredients to the sugar/butter mixture and stir until combined. Pour in the milk and vanilla and beat until smooth. Pour batter into a greased 9 x 13 glass baking dish.
Place the sliced apples (Topping #1) on top of the batter.
In a small bowl, combine the ingredients for Topping #2 (butter, flour and sugar) and spread on top of the apples. This topping will be very crumbly.
In a small bowl, combine the ingredients for Topping # 3 (sugar and cinnamon). Sprinkle on top of the crumbly mixture.
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. You can eat this warm, room temperature or cold.
