Ingredients

  • 4 dinner rolls like Kings Hawaiian
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon prepared horseradish more if you like the heat
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablesppon hot honey or regular honey
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon mustard Dijon or yellow mustard
  • ¼ pound thinly sliced deli ham
  • 3 slices Swiss cheese

Instructions

  • Using a serrated knife slice horizontally midway through the conneected rolls. Keep the tops and bottoms connected.
  • Add the horseradish to the mayonnaise and mix well.
  • Spread the mayonnaise/horseradish mixture evenly on the tops and bottoms of the rolls.
  • Pile the slices of ham on the tops part of the buns. Quarter the cheese slices and arrange evenly on the boot, prat of the buns.
  • Carefully place the tops over the bottoms and place them into a 6" x6" baking pan.
  • Add the butter, poppy seeds, honey, salt, and mustard in a small saucepot.
  • Over low heat melt the butter and stir to combine all the ingredients.
  • Generously brush the mixture over the tops of the rolls and down the sides using all of it.
  • Bake in oven at 350 degrees oven until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
  • Cut and serve warm.
