    WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS RECIPE

There are several potential benefits of making a homemade copycat version of Almond Joy coffee creamer. Here are a few:

    • The recipe is customizable.
    • You have control over ingredients.
    • You can take into consideration allergens and specific dietary restrictions.
    • It might be cost-effective.
    • You can be creative.

    INGREDIENTS

ll the ingredients for Homemade Almond Joy Coffee Creamer Recipe Copycat.

    INGREDIENT LIST NOTES

This recipe calls for simple ingredients, many of which you will probably have on hand, or are readily available at the grocery store.

    • Sweetened condensed milk - do not confuse this with evaporated milk. Sweetened condensed milk is just what it says, "sweetened." Nut milks, per your personal preference, can be a great addition. Brown sugar, organic sugars, plain old sugar, and maple syrup can be substituted for the sweetened condensed milk in this recipe per your own tastes.
    • Milk & cream - I like to use plenty of cream because this creamer is not part of my daily coffee ritual, but is saved as a special treat. You can use lower-fat dairy or non-dairy products if you want to cut the fat or calories. I tried this recipe using coconut milk and omitting the coconut extract and it lacked the coconut flavor. If you use coconut milk or almond milk you might want to also add the extract for that good coconut and almond flavor. The good news is you can leave it out, do a taste test. If you are happy with the flavor you are good to go, if not, add it at this point.
    • Cocoa powder - I use a good Dutch process cocoa powder because I always have it on hand. Use a less expensive option if you like and it will have little impact on the taste. Almond Joy bars are covered with milk chocolate.
    • Extracts - extracts are always better than imitation flavors, but again, if you have it use it! The flavor of this recipe will be a little different with artificial flavors.

pot with milk and cocoa powder simmer together.

    Add the remaining ingredients.

All the ingredients the coffee cream whisked together in the pot.

    Recipe FAQ'S

Has Almond Joy Coffee Creamer been discontinued?

International Delight Almond Joy Coffee Creamer has not been difficult to find. It might be easier to find online than in the grocery store right now.

What ingredients are in International Delight Coffee Creamer?

Water, Sugar, and Palm Oil contain 2% or less of Sodium Caseinate*, Dipotassium Phosphate, Carrageenan, Mono and Diglycerides, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, and Salt.

    Equipment

    • Small pot
    • Mason jar

    Food Storage Tips

Store your homemade creamer in the refrigerator in an airtight container like a mason jar with a lid. I always check the expiration dates on the dairy products I used to make the creamer. I consider the date of the one that expires first to be the date of expiration for my creamer. My favorite way of storing this creamer is to pour it into silicone ice cube trays and freeze it. Once hardened, take the cubes out and store them in a ziplock bag. When I want a good cup of coffee, I make it and toss in a frozen cube of Almond Joy flavored creamer.

I like it best in iced coffee. Try freezing cubes in a silicone ice cube tray.
